Two tracks between singeli, speedcore and field recording, recorded during Julien Hairon’s residence in Tanzania.
After spending over five years recording found sounds and musicians in Asia, Oceania and Africa, Hairon has released his first electronic productions since 2017.
Described by Boomkat as “two cuts of high tension, cheek-pulling club G-force”, lead track ‘Umeme’ is a 180bpm rider of bass and synth stabs. The second track is a dark psychedelic trip made of motorbike field recordings.
Later this year, Nyege Nyege Tapes released a compilation on Ugandan electronic acholi history.
